Why can I not use password flow?

We are using RingCentral integration and we follow the password code flow. Now we are adding a webhook for instant notification. We are creating a new app, and we are a server/web platform with a public application. We are not able to use password flow. How do we add it? We need it to be done.

Password flow is not available for public apps for security reasons. You can change the app type to enable password flow.

I am not sure it is possible to change an existing app. When you create a new app, you can select the type.

Please submit a help support ticket if you need further assistance.

Once an application is created in the dashboard, you cannot change the platform, permission, or even application type. You will need to create a new one from scratch.

You can submit a help support ticket to see if they can help.
