Cisco SPA514G - Red light on phone with all messages/faxes deleted

The red message light is on with no messages or faxes to delete. How do I restore system to normal?

Is the light by any chance blinking?  If so DND is probably turned on.

Hi Mike,
No, light is solid - as if I had an undeleted fax or message.

If you log into the SoftPhone on your computer, does it show a message waiting?

No, checked that yesterday. Here's the weird part - was away from the phone this AM and came back to see the light off. No rhyme or reason that I can see. An RC glitch?

hmmm.. that is a bit strange. Sounds like it was out of sync, but then corrected itself.    Let us know if you run into more problems or this keeps happening.

5 years later, and now having the same problem with the nagging red light. The latest RC app is now so bloated with features I don't want and will never use, it's not easy to see what is triggering this. No calls, faxes or messages that I can see.
Is there an easy to way to purge and reset for this issue?
