any way to fax out without scanning first?

Just wondering if there is any way to set up our regular fax machine to work with RingCentral. We would use it to send out faxes, while incoming faxes could still be sent to each of our mailboxes. Thanks!

Hi  ryabinskyfamily

I'm not sure if I fully understand your question, but, generally speaking, you would need to scan the document. The RC system has to attache the file similar to attaching a file to an email.

In order to use an analog fax machine with Ring central you would need a ATA adapter and have to add a line to your system.  then the fax machine could get dialtone just like a standard phone and you could send a fax out.

Another way is most multi function printers that could scan to E-mail or scan to server like the Brother line of printers.  Then with one of these you could just walk up put the document in the feeder scan to an e-Mail or phone number and it will fax out.

Inbound faxes will still behave the same way.

contact me directly and I could explain the configuration I have done for so many of my customers.

Thank you

Thanks again for helping out!  I didn't catch regular fax so you are most likely correct it's an analog fax that  ryabinskyfamily is referring to.
