unable to connect to server

My desktop app for windows won't stay logged in and constantly logs out.  It logs in for maybe 2-3 seconds before displaying "unable to connect to server."  When I chatted with support about it on the website, they asked to remotely access my computer which has never been asked of me by any support group ever.  That's a huge red flag.

Hi William,  It sounds like they are probably wanting to look at settings on your computer or router.  It's not uncommon for our tech support agents to do screen shares in order to speed the troubleshooting process. However if you are uncomfortable with that process, you are welcome to open a web case. There will likely be some back and forth dialogue to verify, gather and share information.  You can use this link if you wish.  Open a Case
