Hi Mike,

Thanks for the alternative.  Just a head's up, for those of us that cannot have our faxes come across email for security reasons (SSNs, HIPPA info), this is not a viable option.

If you log into your account and view the faxes, they can be downloaded in a similar manner. Just click the Save button when you are viewing the inbox.

Mike,
Previous versions of the RingCentral client, like Softphone, automatically downloaded all incoming faxes to an "Inbox" folder on the PC where Softphone was running.  For many businesses this is critically important, but unfortunately RingCentral for Desktop did away with this functionality.  We receive hundreds of faxes a day, and having to go through the process of manually downloading each one is very time consuming.  Is there any plan for this feature to be reincorporated into the client?  Or at least a checkbox in the client making it optional - many places may not need this, but downloading faxes and transferring them to other software or printing them for signing is very common (eg. medical charts).

There are no immediate plans, but we've had numerous requests for this so it's possible that this feature may come in the future, but there's no ETA.  The best resolution at this time would be to have the confirmations w/faxes delivered to an email address so that the faxes are stored in the email client.

They are actually stored on the server.  The system stores up to 200 faxes for an unlimited amount of time. If you do wish to save them on you computer, you might want to turn on the option to have the notifications sent to your email, if you haven't. Then, when you open the email, you can click the link to download it to your computer and save it in the desired location.
