Unable to receive an important fax from a fax machine. Getting error message "receive error". Anyone know what the problem might be? Thanks!

Error message "receive error"
Could be related to the "handshake" from the sending machine. Meaning, their machine may be waiting for your RC fax number to initiate the "handshake", while RC is waiting for their machine to initiate the "handshake". That the most common issue.
The second most common relates to the setting sin RC for the fax number. Assuming this is your main fax on your RC account - make sure the setting is set to fax only and not voice/fax.
