Messages & Notifications: Why are voicemails marked as read?

When checking the voicemail messages for one of our accounts using the web portal (not the desktop app), we found that a bunch of messages were marked as read, even though none of us had marked them as read. Any ideas as to why this would happen?

Got me.  Aside from the APP, either mobile or desktop, the only other way a new message reverts to a read message, is via touch-tone commands.  You might want to do some testing so you can isolate a call record example in order to open a case with tech support.
