Desktop App: Outbound number/caller ID doesn't default to what is set in admin?

In RingCentral's administration page, you can setup caller ID settings per-user. We have all of our users set to use our main number as the default. But whenever they log into the desktop app, it defaults to their private number being used as the outgoing caller ID. I'm not sure if this is a bug or I'm just misunderstanding how it should work. Any advice would be appreciated.

Nicholas,

Since they log into the desktop app with their direct number, it will use that as the default. They will simply have to click on the options "gear" (at the bottom right of the application) to bring up the configurable options. The third one on the left is entitled, "Caller ID" and it will allow them to change the number for Calls and Texts to your Main Company number. (see the attached screen shot)

As far as I am aware, setting the Caller ID in the Admin portal does not translate over to the desktop application or the mobile application.

I have been testing this and I found that you are right, the admin portal does not translate over to the desktop app. So what is the setting in the portal under outbound caller id "additional desktop app" for?

We have remote users so it is hard to verify the caller ID they have set.  The Admin Portal should override the desktop app.
