We keep receiving a call that says QWE. What is causing this?

We are back up but we do keep receiving a call that says QWE and there is no one there. What would be causing this? Note: This conversation was created from a reply on: 4/28/16: Resolved- Reports of users unable to log into account and phones may not....

Hi Michelle,  We moved this to a new topic as it is a different issue.  Can you provide a few more details please?  

Can you include some call samples (date, time, numbers) plus the following details if they apply?
Is QWE showing in the caller ID?
Include the Following: 
  1. Account type (U.S., Canada, UK,  AT&T, Telus, BT)
  2. Related case number (if applicable)
  3. Detailed description of problem
  4. Goal
  5. Previous troubleshooting steps taken
  6. Software version
  7. If desk-phone related, have you rebooted phone?

This is a US phone and I have no case number for this issue but we have had problems in the past with phantom calls but the numbers always showed up different. This is showing up as the caller id on our cordless phones that we got from ring central. We get the phone call and when answered there is no one there it is just a dead call. It seems to not be doing it as much now.

Michelle - this thread shows how to handle ghost/phantom calls. Are you able to provide this to your IT Dept?

I'm trying to get to the link at the top of this thread, but it tells me I don't have permission to view it and to ask the administrator for permission. But there's no indication of who the administrator is or how to make that contact. Can you help?

I'm trying to give some information to a customer who doesn't understand why I didn't get their faxes last week.
