desktop app HUD - Version 8.1.1 Issues with Presence between Desktop Apps

Hi,

Are there any known issues with the desktop app version 8.1.1 and presence between desktop app clients?

The status doesnt change to Busy or on a call, so calls are still routed as the system sees all clients as available.

Does anyone else have this issue?

Hello Jonathan,

Usually when we see these issues there is something on the network that is blocking the presence packets to and from the app. Sometimes it can be settings on an antivirus system, but most of the time it comes down to port settings on the network.

My first suggestion to you would be to go to our Network Requirements page and make sure that all the configurations noted here are set correctly in your network. Once that is done if the issue persists try checking local computer setting and antivirus.

Hi Nathan,

Thank you very much for the reply.

I understand those port ranges are all open inbound but I will check them out again now.

In terms of the presence, which ports specifically are used between the devices can you just confirm please?

I will also check windows firewall and any antivirus.

Port 80, 443, and ports 5060-6000 are what the phones are going to use to do presence.

They need to be allowed both inbound and outbound for the ranges noted in the Network Requirements.

Sure thanks for that, the are open, I would expect when I set Busy I would expect the desktop client to send a message to the server, is this expected behaviour?
