RINGME

PLEASE CORRECT YOUR WEBSITE !!!!!!!!!!!! on RING ME

You have the country code ( in this case the UK for me   it says United Kingdom 44) 

okay that is fine  

You are then asked to enter your number  with an example just below - again for the UK it is 0117 302 0008

But here it is where the website is so badly written

it will not work if you use the format of the example - You have to drop the first zero  

Completely mad the way it has been written 

How many potentials have lost due to this...   It will be an easy fix  - about 10 characters   You will not even have to re programme the site   Just add  " For example - for a number like 0117302 0008 please enter 117 302 0008

You can see on the attached screen shot  from the ring me app - a link from our website


 where you have your text  below the box for your number eg 0117 302 0008

 

If you use the format given with the zero   - the application does not work  . One has to drop the first zero

 

 

So rather spend months fixing this,  add text to line eg if your number is 0117 302 0008 , please enter 117 302 0008.

I had one of out Tier 3 engineers in the UK test this and it seems to be working correctly.  We'd like to research for you so we created a support case for escalation; Case # 05152464

I think something is getting lost in translation and I am beginning to lose the will to live

I never said it does not work  I said the syntax you use on the website confuses people to entering the wrong number and that gives the appearance the website does NOT work

All I need is for the text on where you have said on the website eg your number

I have copied the URL & HTML code generated from YOUR website under tools and ringme

IT FAILS WHEN THEY USE THE FORMAT BASED ON YOUR EXAMPLE

I understand what you are saying, however when tested from our end using that format it did not fail, which is why we need to see the html code.

What did they see - I still think they are not looking at the same text

under where you the box for the person to enter their number - directly below that what do they see ?

I see this Ex:0117 302 0008  ( with the country code set to UK (44)

Seriously.. What does that mean ? 

It is not important to support as it does not impact the service levels but it is very important for ours or anybody who has a  marketing campaign dependent on a call to action ... 

Escalate this to above support because absolutely no one is taking this  seriously...

I first logged a support call and it was them who suggested I come to the board and raise the issue ..

Is that how you fix the problem ? 

By sending people round and round so they end up so frustrated they give up ... Believe me...

If it takes me forever , I will and make sure everyone are made  aware how lousy your support actually is and everyone should drop you like the proverbial hot potato .. Because, seriously you are not the cheapest out there  so you should be doing things better than the rest otherwise what is the point to stay with you

Seriously it is a simple issue to fix
