Presence Issue

We are using Ring Central Standard in the USA, with Polycom 310 and 410 phones.  I have the Presence status set up on all of our phones so we can see everyone's status.  All phone calls coming in to our 1-800 number are simultaneously forwarded to all of our phones.

The presence status isn't consistent.  If my coworker and I both try to answer a call at the same time, the presence status won't show up for the person answering the call.  It works most consistently if we are talking to someone else in the office or we called out, but it is very inconsistent if we answer an incoming call.

I've tried re-setting the presence status on our Ring Central dashboard and I've unplugged all the phones so they will update.

We are a sales office, so we have the incoming calls going simultaneously to our receptionist, office manager, and 3 sales people.  The receptionist is only here part time, so if she isn't there to answer immediately or she is on a call, one of the salespeople answers the incoming call.  The office manager is included as a safety net in case all of us are on the phone.  We have a few other people who do outgoing calls so they are not included in the group that receives incoming calls.

Hi Susan, how many phones are in your network?  How is your call flow setup and I have to ask, why do all phones have to ring every time a call comes in?

There are so many other ways to adjust call flow to more optimal means.

A lot depends on your network, how things are connected, how fast devices respond and other factors.
