RC Desktop SSO Prompt

     Up until recently, I was able to use SSO through the RingCentral for Desktop application without having to enter credentials to my local Active Directory. To login, I would select Single Sign on, enter my email address, and then transparently authenticate. 

At the present time, when I attempt the steps above, I receive an authentication prompt from my internal ADFS server to enter credentials. 

I downgraded to version 8.3.6 and SSO works properly without requiring me to enter credentials. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks Mike - I had already created a case so I expect they can merge them together... It's strange that this broke in 8.4.5

I did not see a previous related case for this.  Can you provide the case number for me and I'll check the status?

Support informed me that there is no ETR for this issue. The recommended workaround is to stick with version 8.3.6.

They did share a config.ini file with me that will allow me to prevent the RC Desktop app from checking for updates.If this affects you or your users and you don't want to be bothered with non-transparent SSO to a local ADFS environment, you can use 8.3.6 without being prompted for the upgrade to 8.4.5
