Glip Mobile App - upload google drive files and links

Need ability to upload google drive files with integration and web links.

Hello Rick,

Can you please clarify what you mean by "integration"? It is already possible to upload files on the Glip Mobile App using Google Drive.

How do I upload it from the mobile app?  It only shows ability to upload picture...i'm using an iphone.  I can go to more and see what files have been uploaded but cannot add any google drive files or web links.  I go to the chat screen of a team and click the plus and only get option for new event, task, note or photo

Hello Rick,

You will need to have the Google Drive app on your phone in order to upload a document to Glip. Below are instructions that will walk you through the steps:

1) Open up the document you wish to share in your Google Drive app

2) Select the Send a Copy option:

3) Select the Glip Icon

4) Then hit the Share option and choose whichever Glip room you would like to share the document with


If for some reason the Glip Icon doesn't show up as an option all you have to do is toggle it on under your phone's settings

It works for me in the Chrome extension too.

My problem is specifically the ring out option on  https://service.ringcentral.co.uk it seems. Can you try that please?

Entering an extension gives the error "Invalid phone number". If use the full direct line number, and I turn off the option to press one, then it disconnects as soon as I answer.

Hello Paul,

Thank you for being so patient. When it comes to using the RingOut option in service web to dial an extension, it is not currently supported. That's why it doesn't work.

Regarding the issue when dialing the full DID, that is weird behavior. We would need to troubleshoot with you live on that one in order to collect call examples, etc.

I would suggest calling into support at 888-898-4591, Option 3 or you could open up a web case here:

Clicking open case didn't take me to the case reporting page for some reason (maybe because I'm on a Chromebook?)

Quite possible. Clicking on the button brings you to where you will log into your RingCentral account and then it will bring you to where you can fill out the web case information. I just tested to verify.
