when I use my plantronic headset the sound is chopped up and unusable

I'm in US. use ring central on mac. plantronics working well for years. now sound unintelligable - chopped up. I downloaded most recent firmware - no improvement. using colleague's headset - no improvement. if use bluetooth 3rd party, or no headphones, it works fine. 
Any solutions?

you've used the same headset on RC for years and it recently started acting up? i know RC has a list of compatible headsets, maybe the one you're using isn't the best fit with RC ? but you would assume it would either work fine or not at all. hopefully a support agent can shed some light.

Hello Mark,

Is your colleague's headset the same as yours? Have you tried using your headset on a different computer with the same result?

Hey there, we have a client who is reporting these same issues using the most recent softphone update and the savi 720 headsets. Strange thing is they sound great when using with polycom phones, but recently through the softphone they are unusable.

Hi Andrew, do you know if the user has the  Plantronics Hub software installed?

Hey Mike,
Yes they do.  The firmware and software are all up to date too.  We've never had an issue with the softphone and the Hub software with the Savi's like we do with the Voyager Focus where the Hub software crashes the softphone.

Andrew can you advise them to go ahead and open a case please?  I'm not sure what would cause this so the more people that have this issue and open cases the better, so that we can gather more data.
