RC's Efaxing Service Transmit Times

When sending faxes via RingCentral's desktop app, or via email-to-fax, faxing is taking an excessively long amount of time.  To transmit a 2-page fax, it is taking about 6-8 minutes to complete.  Is that normal?

Hello Nick,

There are a few things that can play a part in this.

1) Your connectivity to the internet/network settings
2) The equipment that is receiving the fax
3) File size

USA-based acct | 2887 Users | 3800 DID lines | 28 sites | all Polycom VVX500 phone handsets

01-01-2018  We have been experiencing this a lot in the last month since the most recent update to the Desktop app here.  We have a very high speed internet connection, rock solid networking - and this is the only thing taking forever to get faxes delivered ....

We have several traditional multi-function Konica copier scanner fax devices throughout our 28 sites and those machines deliver a fax in about a minute.  So our users are opting to use those machines instead of the RingCentral Fax utility even though it means they have to walk to the central main office at each site to have the use of the Konica.

This makes it an uphill battle for getting our users to adopt fully using their RingCentral capabilities.

Hi - to clarify - no we did not move from the inexpensive headsets, we have always used a mix of both Polycom VVX 500 deskphones and headsets with the HUD depending on where the user was located.  If you would like to further that discussion - consider joining our unofficial RingCentral Admin Users Group
