Barge calls not working

So I've set myself up to monitor my teams calls, and from time to time I monitor the calls to see how they're going. Now we have another office offsite, and if we want a 3 way conversation I would have one member of the team ring the other person internally and I would then click monitor & finally click barge (to be prat of the call) Also I've noticed when a customer isn't happy with a team member & I feel as though I need to take over, when I click barge it tells me the calls are recorded but then comes up with a message on my desktop app to say this operation cannot be completed?? Not sure what the issue is, but its with both internal calls & with calls with customers.
