Hey VAUGHN,

Are you looking for this to happen in a Call Queue or for an End User's extension?

Morning

I am new to using Ring Central, so I don't know all the terms, but we would like a recorded message (talking about our product) to play when we place customers on hold after the initial answering of call.  Does that make sense?

Hey VAUGHN,

You can pre-record and upload files into your Hold Music section on either a Call Queue or a User's Extension. Here are some instructions!

User Extension

Go to the User's Extension and expand Screening, Greeting, & Hold Music -> Edit the Hold Music

Then select Custom from the drop down menu -> browse your computer for a pre-recorded file and click Done

Make sure to save your settings!

Call Queue

Under the Phone System tab go to Groups and Others -> Select the Call Queue -> then go to Call Handling -> Set Hold Music -> Choose Custom -> Upload the pre-recorded message -> Save your settings
