McAfee blocked a threat that installed with update. Real Protect-EC199E7ED83E616

I got a notice that there was an update to ring central.  It is version 10.0.1.30477 which I ran.  (I am a US account.  running windows 10 with McAfee Total Security)

My antivirus told me it blocked a file from the update Threat name: Real-Protect-ECI99E7ED83E6A6 that was in the c:\users\"name of computer"\appdata\local\ringcentral\softphoneapp\tools\softphonecrashmonitor.exe

Has anyone else had this happen?  Is this file a virus or is it needed for this update?

You should always disable anti-virus applications prior to installing or updating.  Disable McAfee till reboot and reinstall the update.

My malware program keeps flagging a few apps that I know are ok.  I've gone into the settings and made exceptions to those programs.  You may want to look into that option.
