desktop notifications not working

I have a user that is not getting desktop notifications when a new message is sent and she has desktop notifications enabled. We also checked her computer settings and see no issues with notifications. She advised this just started with the new RC app before with Glip she received desktop notifications

Hmmm....that's odd. I would uninstall/reinstall first. If that doesn't fix the issue, definitely contact Support so they can gather logs and further investigate. We don't want Users missing notifications!

I have had a user with the same issue and support did not once ask to gather logs. All they said was please update the app, then basically shrugged when the issue was not resolved. How does one gather logs for the desktop apps?

Hey Ryan,

You can start the debug logs on the desktop app by doing the following:

o Windows Logs: Ctrl +Alt +D

o Mac Logs: Command +Shift+D


Or you can also type in /debug, which prompts the system to pull up a feedback tool that auto attaches the debug logs for the last 2 minutes and creates a case that is sent to Support.

You're welcome, Ryan! I'm sorry they didn't ask :( Debug logs are helpful, especially if a case needs to be escalated to a higher Support Tier
