Ringcentral (Glip) Push notifications

We began rolling out the Ringcentral app across our organization this week and noticed that for any of us using it on our mobile devices that we are not receiving push notifications. Yes we have push notifications enabled...
Is anyone else having this problem?

Just a thought, but have you tried disabling wifi to see if it works with cellular data?

Besides that, what kind of mobile devices and do you have a MDM controlling them?

We have people across the country working with us using a variety of different devices on and off Wifi, and nobody is receiving any push notifications on the mobile app. This is with direct messages, mentions, anything. They are personal devices both for our corporate office as well as contractors across the country, so no MDM is in place.

OK, did you also check push notifications from Glip settings or the devices or both?  The app has it's own set of preference to enable and disable different types of notifications.  I don't recall them being off by default, but maybe.

Hi Sean - today if a user is active (green presence) in the RC desktop / web app we hold sending the push notifications.  If the user sets themselves as away or becomes inactive for 15 mins or more -- or the user becomes offline on the desktop/web app then we start to send push notifications at that point.

We will be introducing a new setting on the mobile app to allow the user to always receive push notifications regardless of their desktop/web app presence status in October.

If you try the above (set yourself as away on desktop/web) and you still can't still receive the app push notifications please go to About >> Send Feedback within the RingCentral mobile app so our development team can take a look at the logs and see if there's a deeper issue we need to look into further.

Thank you Ted. It started working for everyone last night a little while after I posted this.
