Why can't I see a team description on the right hand side of "details"

My teams utilize the team description and some people can see it on the right hand side where you can see all of the members etc. My description is only at the very top of the entire conversation and it causes me to forget to update it.

How can I get it pinned to the "details" section of the chat?
