"Cold" call forwarding

Since these newer ring central phones allow you to have quick access buttons why are we prompted to dial ## followed by the extension #. This kind of defeats the purpose of having people assigned to these quick access buttons. When forwarding a call using these buttons, your name is displayed instead of the persons number you are forwarding. This creates confusion for the person answering the phone. Someone in my office forwarded me a number and I picked up with "yes ma'am" because I thought it was my work colleague. The phone displayed her name but in fact she had "cold" forwarded me someone (a man). Not a big deal but slightly embarrassing haha.
