Ability to Add a Name to Direct Dial Numbers

I noticed in the RingCentral Desktop App the Caller ID headings says Direct Number instead of my Name or the Assigned to Name (for example I also part of the support line hunt group and that number says Direct Number instead of the Assigned to name Support). I noticed our Main number shows up as "Main company number" so perhaps this can be added as a feature in the next application update. Unless someone knows how to show the proper name instead of Direct number? Thanks.

Hello Clayton,

At this time you can only "name" phone numbers that are listed under the Company Numbers Section in the Admin portal.

I've flipped this to a feature request to be able to edit the name for direct dial numbers on extensions.

I need to know if we can label each of our state phone numbers with a state name. Our assigned numbers have a "name" column, but no way to add that in. when we use the pull down menu to select a state we want to call or text from, it would be nice if they were labeled so new people we train can see what state it is.

When are you going to incorporate this functionality?  I'm aware of the workaround but this seems like it would be an easy thing to change

The workaround being: Assign the direct number to the auto receptionist. Find the number under "company numbers" , pick on it and give it a name. Then assign it back to the extension.
