Add ability to change away status via mobile app for Glip

It would be helpful if there was an option to set custom away statuses from within the Glip mobile app.  Every other collaboration app I've used has this option so not sure why it's not an option within Glip mobile.

This would allow a user who steps away from their desk w/out changing the status via desktop to do so from their phone.  Or for someone who is out of the office running errands who then goes straight to lunch to change their status while away from their desk.

Agreed! What can we do to make this happen? Is there anyone at ring central who could help?

Hi Eli,

This is a fairly new request but don't worry, our Glip team monitors feature requests quite a bit. If I hear anything about this happening I'll let everyone on this thread know :)

RC to user translation: Never gonna happen.

There have been other requests for other features that are still actively being commented on and voted for that were made years ago, some of which caused RC to lose customers as nothing was ever done with them.

Getting really tired of empty promises.

Hi guys, we are working on a much improved presence experience for Glip.  Can't share all the details here,  but know we hear your voice.

And yes custom status on mobile will be part of this plan :)

Hi all - the ability to set a custom text status on mobile will be launched on July 23rd.   Additionally... we will be adding in a more unified presence experience as well to show when a user is busy on a RingCentral phone or is in a RingCentral meeting.
