Add option to dial out from the same digital line on ring central desktop app on multiple computers

I am using the RingCentral Desktop App in the US. I am coming across a problem that I think is easily solvable and would be very convenient to RingCentral Desktop App users. 

My company has 1 main phone number with 7 extensions (each extension has their own digital line). Our employees work a few days at the office and a few days remotely using different computers. Our problem right now is that each morning, I have to login to ringcentral admin portal on the website to deauthorize their computer for the softphone in order for them to be able to dial out from their desktop app. The reason for this is because when you login to the desktop app, it registers the computer. Then even if you logout of the app at the end of the day, the next morning if you are working on a different computer and you login to your desktop app, it gives a message that the number is already registered to a different computer and must be deauthorized in order to be able to dial out. This is very inconvenient right now because only I have the admin privilege to do that and if I forget to deauthorize all of our digital lines each morning, my employees cannot use the app to dial out. 

I am assuming this was made like this to prevent multiple people using the same digital line. However, if the user logs out of the app completely, then the next time it is logged into from a different computer, it should be allowed to dial out because obviously the other app has been logged out of and is not being used. I really hope this is added soon because it is the only big issue that we have with the desktop app at this point, everything else is perfect!

Try using the Hot Desk option . user signs on

Jim,

Amela is referring to the softphone and it's ability to only be authorized on only one device at a time. Hot Desking would not solve the issue referred to in the original post.

Your request has been a feature request within the community for a minimum of the last 3 years. There has been no feedback from RingCentral as to whether or not this will ever be implemented. Most all of us assume, as you did, that it's a licensing issue so as to avoid multiple uses of a digital line by multiple people in multiple locations.
