Add Spell Check in the desktop version of the text messenger window.

I would like to see Spell Check added to the text messenger on the desktop version of Ring Central. Seems like a no brainer to me, especially for my business account. Thanks and please advise.

I have an iPhone 6 plus and a Mac computer with Yosemite 10.10.5 and the text messaging on the iPhone works but not on the Mac desktop version.  I thought it worked on both before I upgraded to the new 8.3.5.24028 (64-bit) but, I am not sure. 

Either way it seems if the iPhone has it the Mac should have it too.  Can you tell me if it should have it or if I have an isolated issue please.  Also, if it does not have it can you add it soon?

I am also on a Mac Desktop.. still nothing... I contact my business clients all day and mis-spelling is horrible. SHOOOT. they even have spell check in this window that Im currently typing in... PLEASE PLEASE RING CENTRAL ADD THIS FEATURE ASAP!!!

we still dont have spell check in ring central? This is just getting silly. PLEASE add this feature. I use this for contacting my business clients every day. For the record how does THIS forum have spell check but the desktop app doesnt. BIG MISTAKE! lets add this feature. ASAP!

I Gizzard,  I can't promise if, or when the desktop app will have a spell check feature.  I can definitely understand why some users would want it.   One other thing to consider is that we get hundreds of feature requests and it's impossible to implement everything.  We get frequent complaints from users commenting how large and memory intensive the program is and how much of a strain it is on some computers, and that it becomes laggy, or causes other applications to lag.

As far as the spell check in this forum, the forum doesn't actually have a spell check, but if you are using any modern web browser, the what you are seeing is the spell check functionality built right into the web browser.

Now... one positive thing to look forward to is that as all the RingCentral apps (Glip) become more tightly integrated (there is a web version of Glip) which leverages the built in browser spell check..... so stay tuned.

i really need this added to the desktop version of RC. I dont care about memory or space. I have over 100 buisness account/phone #'s with RC. we really need this function ASAP. as im not the only one in this forumn that agrees. thanks for your time

I agree. my entire office is frustrated that there is NO spell check on the Mac Desktop Version of Ring Central. Very UN-Professional. Especially for a paid service. PLEASE PLEASE make this feature available. OR please tell us how to get it to spell check with the internal OS? Thanks and please advise

A couple solutions would be to send your SMS messages via the Chrome extension or the Outlook extension. Both of those leverage the underlying application/browser's spell check.

Currently not available for Mac.  RingCentral for Outlook is available for all RingCentral Office® customers. Outlook 2013 or later are supported. Windows® 7 (or later) operating systems are required.

Please add the spellcheck into the texting feature - it is currently everywhere else and is much more professional and saves a lot of time for my staff

this has been going on for over  a year!! PLEASE PLEASE intergrate this option into the desktop version. this should be soo simple for RC to do..heck there is Spell check in this window!
 
I have requested this as a business owner for over a year and always told its imminent and easy - nothing.... Makes for frustrating texting errors to our patients and medical professionals.  I cant imagine why it would be difficult to add - its very basic but continues to be ignored

Totally agree. been one year of requests, with nothing!  I have over 100 buisness accounts that we use this for..everyone has spelling errors. so un-pro. come oN RC step it up!

Hi Gizzard,   I don't have any ETA on adding spell check to the desktop app, but, we might have another solution for you but we need to find out a few things.  I'll have to email you direct, so please watch your email.

The lack of a spell check feature in the RingCentral  Phone for Windows is ridiculous!  Even if you compromised on size by just alerting to misspells without having the word suggestions.
The text messaging / phone from one number available on my desktop was the main reason I opted for RingCentral.  This is very disappointing!!!  It's 2018!

TOTALLY AGREE!! same with the Macintosh Desktop Version!! been waiting on this update for 2 years now.. EVERYONE has spell check except Ring Central. PLEASE PLEASE listen to the community and fix this. Thanks! speaking for 200+ employees at my company.
Yes... so many times I have put in a request with every new Ring Central manager I get (why so many changes?).... and nothing. 
Even this chat box for suggestions and comments has spellcheck!!! 
Obviously they don't care because the tech on this is rudimentary and basic in the industry.  Causes us so much extra work and errors from my employees... I'm afraid if they dont fix this soon we will be going to a competitor with similar rates and identical services.... 
Time to get this done Ring Central.  Enough is enough.

Any update on when this feature will be added?  It doesn't appear that your listening to your customer base.  This is a wanted AND a needed feature.

Our users do not use RC (Glip).  They use the RC Desktop Application.  When will spell check be added to that?

Saadet I know I speak for all of us on here that this is truly unfortunate and unacceptable.  Not to have basic spellcheck in your primary app is inferior product quality and crap design.  So we should all interpret "not given an ETA" to mean this feature is not even considered essential enough to be on someone's "to do list"? As others have said this is "ridiculous", "insane",  "a big mistake", and "a no-brainer"!!!
