Add Text Message Routing to Groups

Please add a feature that will allow text message forwarding in Groups, in the same way that phone calls are forwarded. For instance, it would be very convenient to have one head extension that receives all text messages for a group, instead of it going to email to the entire group. This makes it difficult to thread the messages and respond promptly.

Yes, this is needed, more than one user is working with a certain line, so when someone replies back, everyone should be able to see it and also be able to reply back with that specific number.

I just realized there is some type of text messaging feature within the RingCentral Phone App for the desktop.  Unfortunately, when I created a group and sent out a text, I didn't realize it was sending the text message to the individual number and not to everyone on the group.  I think it would be a great idea to give the sender within RingCentral the option to send it as a group text (just like with the mobile phones) or send it as individual texts.  This way, those that do not want the group to see the replies can select the "Send as Individual Texts" or "Send as Group Texts"  where everyone's reply will be seen by the group.

it would be nice for our customers to text our main number and our team members at that location be able to receive those messages. ideal for a multiple location scenario. A Group text message would be fantastic in order to not duplicate responses to the customer.
