Additional field for a user to store a username

My company has 2 Jeffs (including myself), 2 James, 2 Lisas, and 2 Joshes (and there's only 16 people in this company!). When looking at the conversation in the new Ring Central app, the conversation members only show the first name. I am often messaged accidentally due to this name confusion. To alleviate the issue, I've switched my First and Last names so that my last name shows up in the conversation list.

Suggestion: Add a user name field to each profile that will be what other users see when interacting with each other in the application. If no user name is provided, show the first name.

As a side-note, this isn't much of a problem in direct messages. This is only an issue in group messages when I'm trying to message a James and Lisa. There could be 4 different conversations between 4 combinations of these people, and they all look the same in the side-bar.

Jeff, can you share a screenshot of what you're seeing so we can better understand?

Certainly! Every single one of these conversations are with different people, but I'm not sure which one is the one that I'm actually looking for.

Josh A, Lisa A
Josh A, Lisa B
Josh B, Lisa A
Josh B, Lisa B

I'm not sure which conversation to click on if I want to talk with Josh B, Lisa A
