Admin Control - Auto Notifications

When doing any type of setup, there are times that I would rather my users NOT get notified on any configuration change.  It is not helpful!  It only confuses my users and then I get slammed with emails and calls saying "what's this?"  I would like the choice to be able to send them a notification when adding them to something.  I would also like to be able to change some notifications like New User.  It keeps defaulting to the WRONG number (we are multi-site).  It is incredibly confusing for my users.

I agree with the above request - we have had the same issue with the change email/voicemails only confusing the end users, especially when the changes are not visible to them in any way.

Regarding users getting notifications during your setup process, it was recommended to me that during setup, use a dummy email for the user... by adding an x after the .com.  For example, user@yourcompany.comx

Thank you.  We got that recommendation too after RC's team set everybody up and caused chaos. :)  Now that we are setup I am not as worried about the New User notifications but rather on Group notifications.  As Ed N pointed out above.  Most of these changes are not visible to the users.  It should be something that we can control.

I appreciate your help!

USA-based acct | 2287 Users | 3800 DID lines | 28 sites | all Polycom VVX500 phone handsets

2019-11-20  This is a huge problem for Enterprise Customers as well. We have 2287 users and they routinely receive automated RingCentral notifications that are not really for them - we have thousands of DID numbers and often the messages are delivered to wrong user.

We are aware that we can control some of this through the System Status message preferences --- but not all of  the automated messages are controlled through that panel.

Also there is no GLOBAL method to disable all those messages to all users.

We want the messages to be delivered to only SuperAdmins by default and others by SuperAdmins setting the delivery preferences.

Another example of a "feature" not well thought out through implementation. Why does RingCentral need to market their App and GLIP to Enterprise end users via fax or other notification emails. It's lame, confuses the end user, and is not RC's right to push poor quality products onto an Enterprise's user base.
