Currently, presence keys are only able to work with phone lines within your company as well as park keys. If possible, these keys should be expanded to other features such as dialing external numbers, and inputting key shortcuts (such as recording a call or *9).

This feature would benefit all users using Ringcentral, as presence keys are limited in use.

Hey Anthony,

Presence is meant to display the current status of your colleagues, it is not meant to pull any information from an outside source (it couldn't). Cecile's suggestion to create speed dials is the way to go :)

As an addendum to what Cecile said, this can be done as well on the Polycom VVX 300 and 400 series phones as well. Further. if you simply hold down the softkey for two seconds, it will automatically go to the location where you can add in the external contact or other information (like on-demand call recording).

I think possibly what Anthony was trying to address with the question, is the ability to push shortcut functions to the phone without having to manually configure them at the phone itself.

I wish this was an option as well, so as to be able to push it to the phone/s as an admin without having to configure or update at each phone individually.
