I cannot share my screen through RC meetings from my iOS device. Sharing video content does not work so this is my only work around and hope this gets enabled soon.

  1. Account type - U.S.
  2. Help and support videos and seminars
  3. Share screen feature for iOS devices in RC meetings
  4. Share video files in meetings when using iOS devices
  5. I need this for my seminars and I only use iOS devices

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled RingCentral Meetings: Share Screen of Mobile Devices..

Is Ring Central working on the ability to share screens from mobile devices?  This is something that we really need as a company and are currently having to pay for another video conferencing service just for this functionality....

I saw Alisha posted the same question on another thread 3 years ago. Are you guys ever going to remove this limitation and we would be able to do screen shares on iPhone.

Sharing your screen from iOS is possible through RingCentral Meetings. Currently, due to restrictions in Apple's iOS, it is only possible to share an iOS device screen by hosting a meeting on a Mac or Windows PC, then you can use Airplay Mirroring to share the device's screen to your PC that is hosting the meeting.

We have a guide for this process on our page RingCentral Meetings: Sharing Screens on the Meetings Desktop App. Step 3 of this process is explained in greater detail on Apple's support article AirPlay video from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, in the "Mirror your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch" section.

Is there any update on this? More and more companies are moving from desktop/laptop to mobile devices like iPad. From a training standpoint having the ability to share an iOS screen would be helpful to say the least.
