What's the best way to program an Adavanced Rule for an office to be closed for a holiday. What does the date spread need to look like?

Depends on the holiday and how many days it will be closed. Obviously you don't want to have November dates for Christmas holidays, but if the office is closed on December 24th and 25th you don't want to show a date spread of December 20th through the 27th.

In a way, I don't understand your question. Simply indicate the dates you need to have the office closed for whichever holiday (July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Veteran's Day, New Years Day, etc) you want to appear.

Yes, I know i should the dates right. That is pretty obvious. Point being, If I want to have yes yesterday & today closed would I show the date spread as just yesterday and today? or have it be a day past?
Example: I want Feb 18th closed all day. What should the time span look like?

Chris, in case you're asking for a literal "what does it look like", here's an example of a Custom Answering Rule for Thanksgiving 2019.

I'm assuming if I wanted it all day of both days or a single day for that matter I would just make it "all day" and not give a time window?

Naturally...of course.
