Business number Texting

In this modern and fast paced world, many people would prefer to text than wait on hold, and many businesses would handle the volume of requests better from a texting ( at your own pace) than many many phone calls... Ring central offers texting as an option (hooray) BUT a big issue is you can ONLY text the direct dial numbers.... if someone texts the business number it is routed to an email... this destroys all your convenience. Wouldn't it be nice if (like voicemail) you can choose a pathway for a text to go. Foe example- if someone texts the main number- it will always go to Charlie at ext 101. And he can then answer them all as text... eh, genius right? 
Ring Central, can we make this happen?!? please
