our main office number rings to more than one phone, so when I answer and they need to speak with my boss, I use the "call flip" feature to send it to his phone (office-desk or cell), but then the caller id on his phone just shows the call is coming from the office (me) vs the client that called in. is there a way to change this so the client number shows on his caller id?

No.  That's not the intention of the "flip" feature.  However, if you use the call transfer feature, and have your settings programmed to pass through the original CLID, then it will.

Agreed. Call flip is from you to you. One of your devices to the other.

A Blind Transfer passes the original caller ID to the transfer recipient.
