Call Forwarding creates a missed call

The call forwarding needs to be fixed because every time a call gets forwarded it shows it as missed. If a guest calls the main line and I don't answer but someone in sales answers it shows as a missed call on my end.This is frustrating because I don't know if I actually missed the call or if someone picked up the call.

As IT manager, I get the same question all the time from our users. Why so many missed calls? It really makes looking at this metric useless.
