Call Handling: announcement only ext

We need to set up an announcement only direct line using an existing number for our "sports field information" hotline. It will need to be an existing number but I'd like it on one particular users extension so that she can easily manage the announcements. Is there a way to port over an existing number to an announcement line? The other option is to give her two lines on her hard phone and allow her to make one of them for announcements only. I'm also not sure how to add a second direct line to a user that is an existing number. Does that option become available once the numbers are ported?

In the admin portal under Groups you can create an Announcement Only Extension and assign a number to it...however it will not be a Digital Line (it won't have a physical phone attached to it). To have that 1 user get access to it, you will put in their email address when you create it.  They will then activate the extension from the welcome email and be able to make changes from there.
