We have a couple of users who are using solely their RC for Desktop phone... and their actual desk phone has been taken out of the equation. These users are using the Plantronics Voyager Legend UC bluetooth headset and it works fantastic!

The only issue that these users are having is being interrupted when they are on a call because the people walking into their office/cubicle don't know that they're on the phone.

Does anyone have any experience with or know of a call light indicator that would work with a bluetooth headset? We are looking for a light indicator that can sit on the desk or be mounted to the user's monitor.

Not sure how it plugs in to the wireless one but they have a product and you could call them to ask how it connects.

@Chuck, we have this online indicator from Plantronics and unfortunately it does not work with the bluetooth headset as there is nothing to connect the 3.5mm connector to. Since our users are using only the RC desktop phone, there is no external hardware, and the charging station for the headset does not have a jack for the 3.5mm connector. I contacted Plantronics and they advised that they do not have anything for the bluetooth headsets.

Sorry, on their website it said it was supported with all headsets.

No worries. I saw the same thing. Misleading.

We have the same issue with bluetooth headset users - not Plantronics,   LG Tone models  730 / 750 / 760 --  there is no visible way to keep folks from walking in and disrupting headset-phone calls (all day long) - a very common complaint among my users.

Did some more homework.

In talking to the support person this works with many different soft phones.

I have no specific experience, but someone could try it out.

Could give it a try to see if it would work. Thanks!

Is there any update on using this presence sensor? I just purchased it, but it doesn't seem to be compatible with RingCentral.

That is a corded lighting indicator.   We looked at it before.  Don't think that is going to work with Bluetooth headsets.
