Call Recording doesn't record call when using RC Meetings Call-Me feature to RC Office User

When you join an RC Meeting and select the 'Call-Me' feature then input your RC Office phone number to be called on, you would expect the call to be call recorded if you as a user are marked in the admin portal as being call recorded.
We have found this isn't the case, the call is seen in the call log but with no recording. We have logged this as a fault and worked with support but been advised by the Advanced Support team that this is a limitation of how the system works.

Joining an RC Meeting by making a call to the platform from the RC Office desk phone is recorded, so it works in one direction but not the other.  I would say this is a configuration or deployment issue that needs to be resolved by Ringcentral and not a limitation.

Support advised the case is closed and that we would need to raise this issue on this community forum to get this issue addressed!

Wow, thanks for the info, this is a shocking bug to find! How can RC possibly justify not recording a call made to a recorded extension? This is a huge compliance failure for firms which operate in highly regulated industries and rely upon their service providers to fulfill the service they have been contracted to do.

If an extension is configured for recording then any call inbound/outbound and from any location MUST be recorded, that's the point of the solution - not recording certain calls made from certain locations is a system not fit for purpose.
