Limitation on purge would also be helpful.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled I would like to retain faxes sent for a longer period of time.

It's my understanding that faxes sent are retained for only 30 days.  I like to retain those faxes for at least a minimum of 90 days so that I have access to confirm they were sent either to clients or suppliers in case there is a question to whether they were sent.

It would be nice to have an extended period or indefinitely to a level of faxes or data.

Hi Jim,

I would recommend utilizing fax from email.  Simply compose an email message with faxnumber@rcfax.com (e.g 4160000000@rcfax.com) and attached your docs, then hit send!  Doing it this way, the senders have a copy of the fax docs in the sent mail as well as a separate email with the transmission results for future reference.

I also suggest checking your Outbound Fax Settings from your RingCentral account before hand.

I hope this helps.

Good- except if you need the HIPPA security feature.

You are absolutely right. I email my attachments as downloadable encrypted secure documents so it does not work.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Retrieving sent faxes past 30 days.

Enable the ability to retrieve faxes past 30 days! I had a chat support session with Gena today and was told that sent faxes are only able to retrieved for the past 30 days. I have sent faxes that I need to retrieve from the beginning of this year, but now that I can't. These sent faxes are involved in a lawsuit I have against a corporation and need those sent faxes with the fax headers now, which apparently can't be retrieved. The ability to retrieve these is imperative and should be a necessity of including in the next release of RingCentral. Because of this inability to retrieve sent faxes past 30 days, I'm researching other online fax services that would allow this. I love RingCentral and don't want to change, however, looks like I don't have any choice.

HI Michelle,  I moved your post so your request is added to those from other customers. Right now the best solution is to send the fax to yourself anytime it's an important fax and set the fax notifications so that the fax is delivered to your email. This way there's a record of sending the fax and you'll have a copy in your email as long as you wish.

Why isn't there an ability to see my sent faxes older than 30 days?
