Caller ID for secondary numbers?

i have a customer who has multiple offices under their RC account. I have advanced call rules set to send the 2nd,3rd,4th office main numbers to a certain extension. The users in the extension are set to send out that offices number as caller ID. They are saying that there is no caller ID name being displayed. Doesn't the company info tab apply to all numbers that make outbound calls? if not, how do I get caller ID to be displayed if I test and it is indeed not displaying correctly.

Hi Chris,

We have tested this on our end and we are not experiencing the same issues. We would suggest opening a case so that we can see what is going on and investigate further.

So I used the main number, not any of the other Company Numbers. Let me try that out in a little bit and I'll get back to you :)

Hey Chris, CNAM (for outbound caller id) is determined by the carrier of the individual receiving the call. So it could be that the carrier of the person receiving the call has not updated their information recently. 

You can check the CNAM and Caller ID information for a phone number here

I'll have to further troubleshoot with my customer, I have the outbound caller ID set to display the numbers i want, but they say it doesn't display what they want it to. Thank you for the leg work.

tried to open a case. this would the 2nd time i never got notified i opened a case or got a case number or anything to know my information had gone through. last time i ended up troubleshooting my issue myself and figured it out. if thats the case again......
