This is a big disappointment for us.  We just signed up for Ring Central and realized after talking to tech support a few minutes ago that the caller ID feature ONLY shows a caller's phone number not name because of the Standard Plan that we have!  Are you kidding!!  That's like buying a car and having to pay extra for the back seats, I'm sorry that doesn't come with your vehicle unless you want to get the Enterprise Plan (which from what I'm seeing is more than $50/month).  I must say I'm really super impressed with the overall phone system since I'm the IT Support person but it's really hard for me to 'sell' promote RingCentral with a feature that should absolutely be included.  Standard or Enterprise Plans or whatever should ALWAYS include a feature like full name and number Caller ID because that is a feature that could really make or break some of my customers!

There should at least be an option to "add on" this feature for a small amount per month as this is a basic feature of ALL current phone services.    I hope you take heed on my suggestion!  Thanks, Allan.

I agree with Allan. My customers have iPhones, and they're used to that feature. I've gotten a couple of customers who ask me about this, as if I needed to fix it--in other words, they just expect it. Also, the caller name shows up when you look at missed or recent calls, so it obvious that the app/softphone can handle this sort of functionality. -Michael
