RingOut Online: Calls route out through mobile

Hi all, 

When making a call from the softphone on my PC it rings my mobile phone then asks me to connect the call i am trying to make. I can't figure out how to stop this happening, help :)

On my softphone (mac version) click the cog to go to settings, then click Calls.  On outgoing make sure Direct Dial is selected and not Ring Out.  If Ring Out is selected it will call your mobile (or other phone) first and then connect the calls.  Hope this helps

hmm, I don't have a cog (windows) and can't seem to see any ring out options

In the Desktop App - select Settings > Calls > Outgoing

 Matt has you on the right track!  If you don't see Direct Dial, try deauthorizing and logging back in.  However, Direct Dial is only available with a full DL.

Using the app is a different story all together.

I'm currently trying to do this from my web based user panel as I cant get the softphone to work. That tells me there is already a softphone running and that I have to close that first (never installed one before)

Ok-  you are using RingOut via the web portal.  This will not make direct calls from the Computer. It will call you on a device (you cell phone for example), then when you pick up the call it will place the outbound call.

Using the RingOut from your RingCentral Online Account

To Direct Dial, you can use the Desktop App or Mobile App (with a digital line) or Deskphone.  

You can download the desktop app by selecting Tools.
