In response to GeryllZ on TWITTER: https://twitter.com/GeryllZ/status/90... why won't voicemails play over the ear piece of my phone? Will only play via the speaker. Bug or setting issue?

Hello Geryll,
It could very well be a setting issue. Are you listening to your voicemails on your softphone, mobile app, or online?

Mobile app. When I attempt to play a voicemail, it shows a head phone icon, as though I would have earbuds connected (even though I never do). The sound DOES NOT play through the ear piece of my phone. My only option is to switch it to my speaker (embarrassing if I am in a group).

Hmmm....
Are you using an Android or an iPhone?
What version of the app are you on (Click on the profile icon located in the upper left-hand corner and the version will be on the bottom right)?
Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling?

I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Same results. As you can see from the image, all it shows is a headphones symbol beside the progress bar. When I tap on the headphones symbol, it switches it to my loud speaker.

Hi Geryll, I also have an Android. At first I thought mine was not working also, but then when I touch the icon to toggle from headset to speaker, I had to turn up the phones volume. It acted like it doesn't remember the phones volume setting. So basically I had to turn it up for the speaker, then when I switched to headset, had to turn it up again.
Let us know if that doesn't work. If not then there's probably an issue that should be investigated and we may need you to open a case.
