Admin: Change other users presence setting

US RingCentral Office Enterprise

One of our managers went on vacation this week, but forgot to change her Presence setting.  Unfortunately, she also changed her password so we have no way of putting her on DND.

Would it be possible to make an Admin permission/setting which allows the Super Admin to change other user's Presence status through the online portal?

You could change the users password and log in, but I like the Super Admin override better.

I would do this, but it's my manager, and I don't see the need to get her mad at me because she has to change her password.

We do this routinely as SuperAdmin in the portal by altering PRESENCE Settings, not the password to the User Account. .    In the Admin portal, in the USERS tab, Login to the PHONE tab. choose PRESENCE, and then choose to remove the Presence settings from their line and  set a calendar reminder to add it back in as of the date of their return to work.

I don't think Eric is wanting to change the line presence, but rather the users availability status.

Eric - you should be able to set the status to DND manually on the User's Deskphone, or in the Admin portal  you can set an Advanced Rule for her Vacation/Holiday.

Thanks for the reply Kim!  Unfortunately, changing DND on the Deskphone doesn't help when the Desktop/Mobile App is supposed to ring first.  I understand that could be changed as well, or an Advanced Rule could be set, but we (my coworkers & I) prefer to see the Presence status on the HUD.

If you setup the user's Company Hours so that they are on vacation. This should list them as unavailable for presence. Then, you can set the company hours back to normal when they return.

I just tried setting an Advanced Rule to send callers to Voicemail on a specified date, and changing the User Hours to have today off, neither had any effect.  I understand that this changes their presence as far as whether they accept calls, but the feature that I'd like is to be able to change a user's Presence status from Available to DND, and have that appear on the HUD.
