We would like ability for RC to change our presence when we are afk for more than 10-15 minutes from our desk. At that point, we are not "available" so we would like the system to state accordingly.

Hi Zanders, thanks for clarifying! We are actually working on the Presence feature for the RC (glip) app and it is based on Computer activity. So for instance, if I lock my computer it will quickly recognize that I am not online and switch my Presence to Grey

It appears that the RC App must be visible on the screen for the presence to stay green. If it gets minimized or is behind another window it goes gray after 15 minutes. Is that configurable or are there plans to make it work more like Skype for Business where it monitors PC activity?

Hey David, as I mentioned, our Product Team is working towards presence that will be more based on PC activity. It's still a work-in-progress!

This is something that we had with our previous Phone system and is proving to be an issue, as we have a fair amount of users that are remote workers, and we can no longer tell if they are online, or not.
Our previous system had a configurable timeout that after X set time of no activity on the computer the Status would go to AFK and after a second amount of time it would go to offline, or if they locked their computer it would go directly to offline.
If this feature would at least show available 100% while the computer is unlocked that would be a step in the right direction, the fact that the Ring Central App has to be the active windows is pretty much non-functional from a availability standpoint.
