Completely Disable Glip/Direct Messaging

With the RC Phone app being deprecated on mobile, we are moving users over to RingCentral. We only want to use RingCentral for the phone features (calls, texts, fax) and none of the Glip, meeting, or direct messaging features. We can hide this via custom roles settings in the RingCentral mobile app, but users inevitably find it and try to use it or do not understand what it is. They may try to use it thinking it is a text when it is really a direct message using Glip and then never receive a response. We would like to be able to completely disable this feature.

This is mostly an issue for our field users who only use mobile (~50 users), but we would like ti disabled for all 150ish.

I discussed this at length with support and went back and forth many times. They ended by saying that they can "request" from senior technicians to completely disable Glip from the Universal app on both mobile and desktop but it was "subject to their approval". I never went further and decided we are going to go all in with the full solution.

The organization I work for would also like the ability to disable Glip chat.  We would like to have a single chat application and it would be idea if  someone we could automatically forward to our App teams.  However, just disabling chat altogether would be a feature request we would like to see completed.
