This conversation has been merged. Please reference the main conversation: Contacts: add cell numbers to Company Contacts and sync to Softphone & Smartphone App

In the user details, there are fields for Contact Phone and Mobile Phone.  However, when you populate these fields, it doesn't show in that person's contact information on the desktop or mobile app.  If that information isn't meant to be shared on the contacts, perhaps create a checkbox for that to be an option for the users?

That's very important to have because the customers are always right. Let's import export them via text messages also ... ?

Joshua,

If you want your user's personal information listed, you can add them in your personal contacts. While their email address and extension number are listed in Company Contacts, normally it would be natural to dial their extension to get in touch with them. However, if you put all the information you would like on them in personal contacts, that will show up in both the apps you refer to.

If the company provides cell phones for their employees and everyone's mobile number is public, then that would require everyone in the company to go into their personal contacts to add everyone else's mobile number.  It would be redundant, given that the users are already in the corporate directory.  We are more likely to create VE's that forward to their cell phone (so they show up in the corporate directory) rather than have each employee duplicate their corporate directory in their personal contacts.

I understand what you are saying. However, if everyone has a company cell phone and if everyone has a direct/digital line so they can use both the desktop app and a mobile app, then if their extension is dialed it would ring those locations (mobile and/or desktop). There should be no need for any duplication unless you wanted their address, home number, DOB, etc.
