When you need to send the same text message to several phone numbers, could be good if you can just copy/paste from any source (excel, text file) the list of phones into the RingCentral Desktop App.
Actually you can't.

In the meantime, I'm using EZ Texting.  They have a free version (depending on number of texts sent) until the same feature offered by RC>

On the desktop app I want to be able to "copy and paste" a large group of phone numbers from excel and paste them in the text box. Currently if I do that it puts all the numbers together like it is an international number. I can put up to 50 numbers in but only one by one. I pay another company thousands of dollars for this feature. It would be highly valueable if you can do this. Please call me to show you an example.

Hello Tim,  I'm not sure what you are referring to.  Do you have a ticket opened on this? or were you working with another rep? (or perhaps Kim, here on the Community)?

Sorry a tech wanted me to show him how I use my current software and demo it so he could start to build off that.

The best thing to do is just write up a description and business use case scenario and post right here on this thread so our product team can see it.

Hey Mike, I use Go SMS Pro for texting. When I send a text to a number that came through Ringcentral, the @ringcentral is attached to the phone number. This usually gets me an UNDELIVERABLE message. How do I detach the @ringcentral?

I have also tried copying and pasting several numbers at once using various methods.  In Excel, I have added a column and added a comma and space to each number I have saved.  This still does not work for copying/pasting.  Any ideas on how to make this work would be great!

Does RingCentral have the functionality to batch a text to multiple numbers, that are not in my contacts, all at one time?
I would love to be able to paste a string of phone numbers, upload a spreadsheet, etc and send a text to all on the list at one time.  None of these numbers would be in my contacts.  Similar to a blast text to multiple phone numbers that are not in my contacts, etc.
I have attempted pasting several different string formats but RC only text the first phone number in the string.
Thanks!

I would love to be able to paste a string of phone numbers, or upload a spreadsheet, etc and send a text to all on the list at one time.  A blast text to multiple phone numbers would make life much easier. Minimize Manually Putting single phone numbers one at a time.

This would really help me. Alternatively, I would be able to scroll through a list of my contacts (with all numbers exposed) and tick each contact/number I would like to send rather than painstakingly selecting them one at a time into a group.

The solution that is typically proposed is to set up a group. Just in case the team in charge of features is not quite understanding why this won't work... Let me explain. We manage properties. There are a different group of people on any given day that are late with rent, or on our maintenance list. A group would never work in this scenario since it changes daily.

The tick box version would work for working within the app. Several people have asked to be able to paste a string of text comma separated and text each number. This would be very useful when working with external data.

This would be a great feature. Please add one or both.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Grouping numbers for group/blast text..

I use the desktop Ring Central app to send a large number of
group texts every day and would like a feature that would allow me to add a
group of numbers (30+) in the "To:" field at one time, via import or
copy/paste. I have tried various delimitators and none of them will allow this
function. When I have tried this all the numbers group into 1 number.  I have talked to your support team and they
indicated that this feature does not exist.
It would be a great enhancement to your app if you made this
possible.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled MASS-TEXTING (SMS).

I'd like to follow up the feature request of mass-texting. Instead of copy and pasting one phone number at a time from a spreadsheet; is there a way where you can choose multiple cells on the Excel and paste it to Ring Central App to mass text?

How is this flagged as "Implemented?"  I just saw a new Idea topic on this today and tested it and it doesn't work on version 10 of RC Phone.  I tried from Excel, I tried from notepad with different separators (comma, semicolon, space, tab, return) and nothing worked.  This seems like a different idea than the one that appears to be implemented, which is to create contact groups and texting the group.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Ability to copy/paste multiple phone numbers from excel into the recipient field ....

US User - Doctors Office
We send out patient apppointment reminder text messages 24 hours before appointments then again around 2 hours before all appointments. We have to type each number individually into the recipient field of a next text, hit enter, then type the next number. It would save us so much time if we could just copy/paste multiple numbers at one time into the recipient field and it would recognize them each as different numbers instead of lumping them together into one incorrect number.

I have spoken with support (case #07034437) and was told that this feature was not possible but could be part of a future release.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Mass Text Message with Excel File Upload.

There should be a feature added to RC Text that allows us to upload a formatted Excel sheet from our internal database of employees/ customers with the phone number listed in any format (xxxxxxxxx or (xxx)xxx-xxxx or xxx-xxx-xxxx) and create a mass text message without having to individually enter each phone number.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Copy and Paste 50 Numbers to Group Text.

I'm trying to text a group of 50 applicants who applied to my job at one time. Is there a way I can copy and paste the numbers in a new text message in the desktop app to send this blast message with instructions on setting up an interview time?

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Add the Option to Send the Same Text to a List of Numbers.

I would recommend coming out with an update that will allow users to upload a list of phone numbers to send a text blast to.  With the current app you are able to enter one phone number, enter a comma, and then enter a second phone number.  This means if I have a list of 50 phone numbers I have to copy one phone number, paste it in RingCentral, enter a comma, and then I can add more numbers.  That means copying and pasting every single phone number individually as will as entering a comma every single time.

I would recommend an option that will separate each phone number in a list if there is a semicolon differentiating the phone numbers.  This way I can create a list in excel with any quantity of phone numbers where each phone number has a semicolon at the end.  I would then simply copy this entire list and past the list in RingCentral.  RingCentral would see that every time there is a semicolon, there is a new phone number.  This would be very easy code to write and it would save hours of copying and pasting each individual number to RingCentral.
This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Copy and paste a group of phone numbers to text.

We send a simple text confirmation to our customers the day before their delivery, so I need to send one text to multiple customers at the same time. I have their phone numbers in a spreadsheet with a comma after each number. I was told by our sales person and one of the implementation people that we could copy and paste the numbers, as long as they were separated by commas, but that does not work. I tried semi-colons - that does not work either. Bottom line, I want to be able to simply copy and paste a group of numbers to send one single text - without having to enter each one separately.

Seems like this request has been asked over the course of a year with the goal of: "implementing soon" - we all would benefit from an update on the actual roadmap of this feature being added since it is obviously a very valued one.

Thanks
