Custom Call Rule to bypass an Extension's greeting for calls from internal extensions?

Certain extensions in our system have a customized greeting message for answering outside calls.

I have attempted to create a custom rule, but it only works if I dial the desk phone's local number (760xxxxxxx). If I dial the extension number (104), it plays the greeting.
How do I create a call rule to bypass the greeting when someone from on the internal network calls that extension number?

This causes us to have to wait for the greeting to play every time we try to transfer a call or get ahold of the person on that extension and its a pain having to dial the entire phone number every time.

On our Polycom phones, the way around the greeting is to use Intercom on the phone. Update Ring Central settings to allow users to accept intercom calls.

How would I use the intercom when transferring a call? That is the biggest issue is transferring to the receptionist (cannot use auto receptionist because of the lack of a workaround for a separate issue), and having to listen to the greeting before they answer to accept the call

Have you tried:
- turning off all prompt messages
- add a rule filtering for all calls going to the specific phone number
- add required prompt messages to the rule only

This should enable playing of no prompt when an extension is used (hopefully - haven't tested it on any of our users yet)

I will try that and see if it works.

In the Call Rule Details it only shows the main number+ext. as an option. The number we are having an issue with is the Receptionist (Auto-Receptionist isn't a usable option). I want it to play the greeting when people call our main number only.

ok, now I am confused as to what you are trying to do.
You want a greeting to play when callers call your main number, correct?
When anyone transfers a call to a user extension or if anyone internally calls a user extension, in both cases you want no greeting played.
When an outside caller calls a user extension number directly, do you want a greeting played?
What situation do you want there to not be a greeting played, vs situations where you do want a greeting played?
